Inner Mongolia... No Wait.. Bashan, Hebei Province China
My friend Mona organized a trip for us to go do some China exploration! Originally I thought we were going to Inner Mongolia, but when I arrived and asked the gentleman leading me with the horse if he were Mongolian... I was just given an odd expression T__T guess we never made it to Inner Mongolia! HAH! Anyway, here are some photos. We only stayed one night, but this is how the Chinese spend a weekend away from home. Of course, there was a fresh lamb roasted for dinner along with some Chinese styled Karaoke and a bonfire to end the night, but I'll spare you guys from that ;) And to finish the trip off, we woke up at the crack of dawn and busted our butts up the hill to watch the Bashan sunrise :) I'm so lucky to have these wonderful colleagues.

Tim Vossler Hits Beijing!! WOoOOOo
Tim Vossler, now known as Dr. Tim (Dr. Vossler if we're being formal) just finished med school at USC! CONGRATS!!! *CLAP CLAP CLAP* AND he decided to take a trip to Beijing and visiting his great friend (and one of my favorite people) Mr. Will Panza before starting residency at LA County. Actually, he finished over a month ago, but my post is a bit late. Anyway, I'm going to keep writing as if he were just here. Dr. Tim chipped chipped his tooth on his first day here, and after many nights of serious contemplation, we decided to let the dentists back in the states handle this. Not because we aren't totally capable of performing such an act, but because it adds character! Since I've been in China, I haven't had a chance to see any doctors or pay any visits to the international hospital, so it was really such a treat having an in house doctor. Thank you for answering all 254 of our questions, and being such a wonderful guest and shopping buddy. Here are some photos from the two weeks! We all went to some touristy places--Hou Hai (The man-made lake with bars and restaurants surrounding it), The Temple of Heaven (I trust you can decipher the temple from the photos), and also watched Tim eat some scorpions...

Photos from Way Back When?
I've been in Bejing for 2 months now. I'm getting into a routine of scrambling my a$$ to work (on time lately I might add), hitting the gym, putting a dent in the clothing market, visiting the local stand for veggies, and taking the subway back home while listening to Thanh Thanh's, Alexis's, or my own mix. Beijing is such a large city; there are buildings to the horizon in every direction you look, and people around every corner...quite literally. The weather is getting nicer; pretty soon I can shed my winter coat for the season and whip out the SHORTS!!! (pants are so constricting >:( )
I flip through photos whenever I have some time to myself. I like to take photos of people I love, people I just met, and people I don't know. Life is simple, love is sweet. Love is simple, life is sweet. If you want to believe in something, it's yours.
Here is a two part series of photos I've compiled over the last few years. The first set is just from photobooth on my macbok. They're not particularly artsy or fancy, and they may not mean anything to you, but these sweet memories are what I hold closest to my heart. I hope you all have memories you can conjure up this quickly with your loved ones as I do. I am so thankful for all of you. We may have been in a hurry, feelin' the mood, or just hangin' in the great company of each other. Life was good; life is good; life will continue to be good having known you all; I can't wait for all of you I have yet to meet, and the adventures we will all have.
I love you guys, I miss you back home. Thank you for all these times we've had, to be given this feeling to miss you guys, and the overwhelming feeling of joy when I flip through these pictures. They say a picture says a thousand words; I don't think you need that many to know what's up.
